About The Author
Rosalind Thomas-Clark (TC), teacher, actor and director, has worked professionally for stage, radio, and film, but her passion has always been the development of arts and education. She founded eleven start-up arts organizations in Britain, New Zealand, and the USA, and spent ten years as Chair of Theatre at the Boston Arts Academy. TC has written several plays and adapted numerous scripts for educational purposes, including many edited Shakespeare plays. She has recently completed a book on acting methodology for students and teachers.
Committed to theatre for social change, TC started her own theatre company, TC Squared: New Theatre Outside the Box. She devised and directed a multi-media piece, the script of which was created by Susan Werbe and Kate Holland. The Great War Theatre Project: Messengers of a Bitter Truth commemorates the centenary of World War One. This traveled to England in June 2015, performing and working with high school students to create a complimentary multi-media piece. Everyman Revisited: Social Issues in Today’s World was developed from Carol Ann Duffy’s script, and performed in several Boston theatres and schools, as well as at the Miami Theater Center, Florida, for the Teen Summer Camp 2016.
TC Squared is committed to mentoring new playwrights, and presenting Staged Readings, with audience feedback so that the work may be developed. This has pivoted to virtual presentations due to COVID-19, and the series VOLUME UP: VIRTUAL READINGS by TC Squared may be seen on YouTube. The weekly Play Lab and Directors Lab continue on Zoom, and high-quality new work is being created.
TC teaches acting for professionals under the Company One Theatre umbrella, and coaches privately, including Public Speaking and Corporate Communication skills. A member of the Company One Board, she is involved in ‘building community at the intersection of art and social change’.
TC studied with the late Augusto Boal in Brazil, at the Theatre of the Oppressed in Rio de Janeiro. She and was also awarded Boston’s Teacher of the Year Award in 2005, and a SURDNA Artist Colony Grant in 2008. Her handbook for directors and teachers, Being in the Moment, has been published on Amazon. She lives in Cambridge, Massachusetts, near her three children and five grandchildren.

Testimonials
Ros was able not only to share some new guidelines, but also to gear the workshop to incorporate our individual goals and outcomes. We had tremendous fun as well!
After my stroke, Ros assessed my particular speech patterns, mannerisms, defects, and challenges with diction, projection and emphasis. She gave specific homework exercises, and her understanding was both subtle and detailed, more so than any speech therapist.
If you want a dramatic, swift, personalized response to deal with any corporate situation, go to Ros.[…]My presentation and speechmaking skills have improved tremendously, as have my confidence and self esteem.
